Better Awards for a Better Tomorrow: Sustainable, Modern, On-Brand

Awardology Materials and Sustainability

Our Materials: Selected For Sustainability
We  plan on being 100% transparent with our customers about specifically what products and materials we are using and why.

With that in mind, we’ve developed all of our products from three sustainably sourced and environmentally responsible materials, with the following certifications:

Due to pandemic-related supply chain shortages, certified wood or aluminum may not be available for each project. We will strive to use those materials whenever possible. Any alternative wood and aluminum used for your awards will be recyclable, as well as locally and responsibly produced.

FSC Certified Woods.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an independent, non-governmental organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests. A FSC forest management certification attests that the forest is being managed in a way that preserves its natural ecosystem and benefits the lives of local people and workers, all while ensuring it sustains economic viability. Simply put: by choosing products with FSC labels, you are helping to take care of the world’s forests.

100% Recycled Aluminum with ISO 14001 Certificates
ISO 14001 is an internationally agreed standard that sets out the requirements for an environmental management system. It helps organizations improve their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste. Most aluminum on earth is 75-90% recycled as it is, but ISO 14001 certs assure that the aluminum manufacturing source isn't using virgin materials, utilizes renewables, and disposes of hazardous wastes responsibly.

Recyclable Eco-Acrylic
All of the acrylic that we use is fully recyclable. In addition, we are moving towards using a bio-resin for all our casting and fabrication of our acrylics. At this time we are in the testing process and transitioning to using a bio-resin for all of our casting and fabrication of acrylics. This product is biocompatible and will break down when sent to the landfill. Bio-resin is processed and created in a responsible way while being ultimately chemically inert to humans and this planet.
